How did Under Armour get started?Under Armour was founded in 1996 by a Maryland football player, Kevin Plank. He started the company from t-shirts that kept moisture in the fabric instead of absorbing it. He produced this product for athletes so that they could keep dry during their games and practices. His ideas became very successful and several National Football Teams started using his product. Today, Under Armour is not just used by football teams but for many other activities and by many demgraphical consumers. From just a small company to now a worldwide empire, Under Armour has expanded tremendously into a major fashion brand.
